Een genre die in Nederland nog niet erg bekend is 

Chicano's zijn mensen die uit een Spaans-sprekend land afkomstig zijn, maar nu in de Verenigde Staten wonen.

Chicano rap is vooral bekent in Zuid-Californië, waar de Sureño-gangs (gangs die aangesloten zijn bij de Mexican mafia) de macht hebben.
